Friends

I'm the kind of person when I'm friends with someone, I know everything about them. It's the same for me. They know everything about me. In this day and age, do we really know everything about our friends ? Do we really want to ? We make friends on social networking sites, without ever having a face to face conversation. When did it change ? I just don't know ....
